Sooo... about holidays :')
1. Quality time with my interests
I love books <3 Well, English.. National Library Board allows us to borrow up till 8 books for school holidays (or is it 12?) can't remember how many books I borrowed. But ofc, 70% of the borrowed books in my possession are romance novels, the others are random books I picked as my fingers glide along the neatly shelved books. You must be thinking: Wow, she does read so many books! In any case, yes I do. Is it beneficial? Nope >.< I did not make the grade for my Language Arts finals.. Why? I am lacking in comprehension skills and I did not analyse Macbeth well enough, hence the utter failure that made my eyes water ((Heck.. it was a downpour))
2. I can even go out with my friends
This iz the life of thy ordinary student. I'm just super glad to meet my friends, especially my primary school friends, I haven't seen Laura, YuYing and Yong Lin in ages. Well I see YL during choir and YuYing in school.. But still, it's a proper get-together. We'll be spending quality time together laughing and sharing, maybe even gossiping? We are meeting this Thursday!!!! (7th Nov)
3. Is this an opportunity for me to start exercising?
Besides the weekly PT every Friday, till the end of combined concert with RV choir, I guess I had better beat my body clock and wake up alongside my noisy alarm clock. These few days, since Friday, I have been sleeping at 2am. And rise-and-shine for me takes place at 12 noon.. It ain't rise and shine no more, it's lunch-and-finding-out-half-a-day-is-gone. So I had better sleep at 11pm or 12am, and my butt better be out and awake at 10 am. Must really start exercising. Now, now, I am not one to be complaining about gaining 0.01 kg after every meal I intake.. However, I am noticeably getting larger.. ((:O)) What if I am unable to fit into my new skinny jeans, tights and even a dress for Kong Kong's bday.. Wow.. This is no laughing shet.
4. Homework and bucking up ((giddy-yup))
There's quite a huge pile of homework given by our oh-so-kind subject teachers. Since it's been 4days into our holiday, I still have not started any. I have not even organised into a neat page of what's to be done. Well, I really must thank the Lord for all the kind things he has done for me. Knowing the typical procrastinating me, I rushed all my studying into the day before the papers. Each day, I would be scrambling to get my file organised as I go through the years' work. At the end of the day, I would sit by my dad in my bedroom and cry, saying to him: "I don't think I can do it." And he would reply: "Fail, fail, there's nothing you can do since you have not studied well beforehand. Just don't do anything silly." My mum would kneel with me at night, before I get to bed, and we would pray to the Lord together, "Lord, please may Alyssa not fail her exams and instead do well enough to be promoted to the next year." It was like a daily mantra. I'm sick and tired of always saying the same refrain: "I have not studied." Wow, if not for the Lord, I would still be in sec one probably, retaining, instead of going up to year four next year. I really want to buck up in the hols. I realized if I take studying as a progress, and not as a last minute shet, I can actually enjoy retaining all this new-found knowledge and be interested in opening my mind. Studying =/= student dying. It is in fact student dying if he/ she only tries to cram up a whole years' load days before the major examination. Thankfully my GPA is 3.2.. Not that good as compared to the rest of my classmates (an average of 3.53) but I believe if I continue praying to the Lord to guide me and give me the motivation to study, I will be able to conquer my procrastination.
5. My rooms a rubbish dump and a fire-hazard zone
Unknowingly through the years, my room has been receiving some awful lot of shet from me. It's filled with newspapers "on the way to the recycling bin", my stationery strewn all over the place, etc.
ok wts I just got a call saying I have to be ready for dinner out with my family. I have not bathed and my uncle is coming in 10 mins, wow. It's only 5 pm plus.. way too early for dinner....
In a rush,
Ally
