My parents love me so much - #2 Sufficient Sleep is important

So continuing on with what happened in the consultation room...

My parents went in with me. The doc, Dr Alicia, asked me a few questions here and there. Basically more info about my eyes. Then here comes the eye pressure checks. The doc put some yellow liquid (is it iodine? I deekay :p). And I was to look into the machine. It took around 10 mins. Oh gosh. The light was so dayum bright. I kept tearing and the doc had to stop the machine while I dapped my eyes clean. (Add in the shock I had when I saw my tears were yellow -> yellow liquid from before). After the eye pressure check and all that, she kinda twisted my eyelids. I got shocked again. What's wrong with me!?? Anyways, she explained to my parents that I had lumps on the cornea lining of my left eye, causing it to be red and itchy and watery. I also had them on my eyelids of the right eye. But not that bad. She prescribed four types of eye drops/ tear drops and an eye ointment. Argh :( so many!! Sleep is important. And the doc explained that I probably had the allergies because of dust mites on my bed. She said I shouldn't put soft toys on them anymore :(( Nooo I'll miss my babies :'( turns out... The consultation fee was more that $95 dollars, and after that, at the pharmacy, the eye drops and ointment prescribed by the doc turned out to be more that $75 dollars.I must have burnt a hole in my dad's wallet. I have been very sick the end of last year and this year. In Dec 2012, I had to go checkup in a hospital due to my skin, probably costed $60 on the first day, and $70 on the second day? Then, my orthodontist checkup (for my braces) cost around $110 per month. During camp, I tripped and fell over my right foot, and had to go for an orthopedic checkup. Though the doc (who was a friend of my Godma) waved his consultation fees (that was really sweet of him), my dad had to pay full price for the physiotherapist consultation, which amounted to $80, and my crutches- $40. And for my school books, he paid more that $215. Plus my tuition fees (more than $450 per month). Early this year, i was very sick and had tonsillitis, the GP consultation fee plus the medicine turned up to be $70. And a week later, i had high fever for five days, and i went to the same GP. The cost: $95. Poor dad. He doesn't earn that much also. And my mum has alot of health ailments. Such as throbbing toothache, high blood pressure, arthritis., high cholesterol, etc. And she gets stressed out easily. But my mum pays for everything else for me. Such as the groceries, my clothes, my bags, my shoes etc. that's why. The topic of the post: Sufficient sleep is important. I have been sleeping late all these while, in the holidays, 4 am in the morn and I will wake up at 2 pm in the afternoon. School days I sleep at 1 am and wake up at 6 am. One thing I lack: sufficient sleep. Sleep is the time your body takes to heal itself, rejuvenate, let the antibodies in your body fight the infections or germs. When you are tired and lack sufficient sleep, your body's immunity is weak, and therefore germs and sickness in the air easily enters your body without the need to put up much of a fight. Hence, sufficient sleep in important. You wouldn't sleep in lessons like me if you had sufficient sleeps. Sleeping during lessons cause you to not understand the lessons, you won't do well for exams unless you have an IQ of 200, and you might not get the scholarship or get into the university you desire. And you cannot give a better life for your parents. My life is middle-class; comfortable. But I want my parents to be free of debt (if they have), I want them to retire with peace of mind. So, the angels reading my blog, learn from me! Have sufficient sleep and try not to make your loving parents worry over you, like what I did :( Goodbye, I'm gonna catch some sleep while I'm home.
